The experts at Offeroftheday give TK Maxx an overall rating of 4/5
TK Maxx has one of the biggest product catalogues around. With new styles constantly coming in there is also something new to shop. We love their selection of home essentials and it's the perfect shop to complete your forever home with candles, furnishings and even furniture. Most of the products onsite have a discount of some sorts and with many of the lines being out of season, you'll likely to grab something at a significantly reduced price. Because of the sheer volume, you may have to really wade through a large number of products to find that deal that's right for you.
TK maxx offers a couple of delivery options and we love that they are tracked by Evri or DPD. It is however missing named day delivery and we aren't particularly happy with paying for click and collect orders when spending under £50, as this is often free at other retailers.
TK Maxx offers 28 day returns. Popping in-store for a return is by far the easiest way to get yourself a refund or exchange. Returning online purchases via post does seem to be a relatively easy process but you won't be refunded and original delivery costs and you will have to pay for the posted yourself when making a return.
TK Maxx is very easy to get hold of and there are a number of options available. The easiest way to get in touch is via their online chat function. There is also a Help Centre area on their website which covers a wide range of queries you might have, meaning that it may not even be necessary to contact TK Maxx directly. We found the online chat staff useful and prompt in their reply time. If you do have a problem with your customer service experience TK Maxx are very open in providing information on online dispute resolution, which we appreciate.
TK Maxx has made efforts to help its customers make sustainable shopping choices. They have a large range of recycled products including brushes, cotton buys and containers. Hydration bottles and reusable metal straws help cut single-use plastic. Using food storage products helps keep food fresh and reduce food waste. TK Maxx is working to achieve a target of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 for their own operations. At the end of fiscal year 2021, 94% of waste from their operations was diverted from landfill and they are working on the rest. TK Maxx has recycled 1.9 million bags of clothing through Give up Clothes for Good since 2004 which equates to over 9300 metric tonnes diverted from landfill and a reduction of 198,900 tonnes of carbon emissions.
A subsidiary of the American TJX Companies, TK Maxx provides designer labels at small prices. Founded as TJ Maxx in 1976 in Massachusetts, the first UK store opened in 1994 in Bristol. In 2008 it opened a store in Kensington High Street, its first store in central London. In 2009 the TK Maxx website was launched, originally only selling handbags before eventually expanding to a full product range. TK Maxx has worked with Comic Relief as well as the Woodland Trust on a number of charitable causes. In 2022 it also promoted donating your pre-loved clothes in aid of Cancer Research UK. Whilst the US version of the store is TJ Maxx, the name was changed in the UK to avoid confusion with the UK store TJ Hughes. TK Maxx aims to bring huge brands at small prices and the product range is always rotating. There are always clearance items to browse and their "new in" section means that the product range is always fresh. Because it is originally a US brand you'll find a number of American Brand sales as well as huge savings around the Black Friday period.
Shop a variety of big brands at small prices across womens styles. You'll find a selection of coats & jackets, dresses, jeans, shorts, skirts and sportswear. Don't forget to shop the range of handbags including clutch bags, purses and backpacks from brands like Dune, David Jones, Bessie London, DKNY, Ted Baker and even Alexander McQueen. TK Maxx is one of the best places to find designer handbags at affordable prices. There is also a great selection of discount fragrances available.
Shop a selection of mens waistcoats, jeans, joggers, jumpers and sportswear from big brands like Adidas, Superdry, New Balance, Nike and more. You'll also find a selection of men's grooming products including skincare sets, gifts, slippers and cordless clippers and trimmers from brands like Remington and Wahl. You can also grab offers on mens fragrances from Tom Ford, Davidoff, Givenchy and even Alfa Romeo!
Not only will you find a selection of clothes for both boys and girls, you'll be able to get affordable baby & nursery products too. Shop toys and books, or kit out your child's room with storage, rocking chairs and kid friendly sleeping bags. TK Maxx also sells a range of accessories like bibs, rattles, sterilisers and feeding pillows.
TK Maxx brands a large selection of home products and we love the savings to be made on kitchen and dining tableware and cookware. There's also a great selection of candles, photo frames and other accessories to complete your home look. Shop cosy rugs and throws, mirrors, cushions and even artificial flowers and plants. Another popular range of products is the selection of luggage and travel bags, with savings to be made on big brands.
One of the best high street retailers to grab a bargain on shoes, you'll find a selection of heels, sandals, flats and trainers. Get up to 40% off Hunter wellies, grab yourself some cheap Skechers, or even grab yourself some new walking shoes. For men you can find Timberland boots and Vans at reduced prices, perfect for a day at work or downtime on the weekends.
TK Maxx updates its product range constantly and you'll always find both a new in and huge sale section to browse.
It's easy to get in touch with TK Maxx with any issues you encounter. You can find all information on their Contact Us page.
