Condenser tumble driers are much more efficient than traditional vented versions. This is because they reuse the warm air rather than dumping it outside. They also have the advantage of being able be positioned anywhere as they have a tank to collect the water so don't need to be next to an outside wall. Most models also allow you to hook them up to a drain so you don't have the faff of emptying the tank.
