• The Mosquito Electric Fence Energiser from Wolseley is an very popular, simple fencer unit, especially for use with horses and cattle. Very easy and econimical to operate. It can be powered by a 6v or 9v Dry Battery or 12v rechargeable Battery, which makes it an extremely flexible unit. Recommended optimum fence length 8km. The fencer would perform best with a 12v Leisure Battery. A 6v PP8 or PJ650 Battery is sufficient for short runs of strip grazing and should last several weeks; the 9v batteries range from 55 Amp/hr to 160 Amp/hr and can last from 3 months to 12 months depending on length of run and Amp/hr rating of battery. With both of these options we would suggest the batteries and terminals are covered, either with a plastic box or bag. Comes with its own built in Earth Stake (see picture - shown with 12v battery).
